Q:  What does UNICAS logo stands for?
A:  The “bowl” at the bottom of the logo symbolizes the main foundation of our organization
which provide a place where members in particular and Indonesian community in GTA
in general can congregate and exchange ideas, come to a common conclusion and
forge a strong bond amongst us.
The four “flower petals” pouring into the bowl denotes the direction where we came from
(East, South, West and North, in other words, from everywhere in this world).
The “black dot” in the bowl is where all the ideas, thought, dreams and mutual respect
blend together to become the wisdom of this organization.  All of those are in the realm
     of the “bowl”.
The “red maple leaf” denotes the existence of Canada and its influence.
The basic colour of red and white are coincidently the color of Indonesia and Canada.

Q:  I saw a picture of the INUKSHUK on the Home Page, what does it have to do with
     UNICAS?
A:  The Inukshuk is a symbol of the human spirit. They recognize our ability to succeed with
others, where alone we would fail. Remind us of our need to belong to something
greater than ourselves. Prompt us to reconnect with our individual responsibility to
invest our efforts today so we may all have a better tomorrow. Ask us to heed the
knowledge of our inner knowingness, hear the voice of our intuition and move to the
harmonious music in our heart and spirit. Inukshuk convey the importance of personal
contribution and reinforce our ability to commit to common goals. They implore us to
share the fruits of our learning, our wisdom with one another. UNICAS is a non profit
organization which is trying to follow the INUKSHUK’s teaching.
Working together with other Indonesian organizations will make the Indonesian
community stronger and will enable us all to achieve our goals.

Q:  There is wayang on the Home Page; what does it have to do with UNICAS?
A:  The Wayang figure of Gatotkaca
From the Indian literature of Mahabaratha, in the kingdom of Hastinapura lived five
brothers named Yudhistira, Bima, Arjuna and the twin Nakula and Sadhewa . They are
known as the kind Pandawa, the adversary of Kurawa the unkind group of a hundred
brothers. Yudhistira is known for his wisdom, Bima for his courage and strength, Arjuna
for his handsome face and weapon dexterity, and the twins for their loyalty.
Gatotkaca is the son of Bima, loyal, fearless, strong and has the ability to fly. He helps
his kins to fight Kurawa in the final battle of Barathayudha (the fight of brothers
against brothers). He was killed in the battle when he fought Karna, the half brother of
     Pandawa.
The figure of Gatotkaca is used frequently to describe the loyalty, fearlessness, to the
point approach and blind unbiased justice.
